2020 has been a hard year for all of us. As much as social distancing and physical isolation are important for us to stay safe from the pandemic, it has given rise to amplified stress levels.
A recent data released by Japan and South Korea indicate that the number of deaths due to suicide attempts have increased to scary numbers this year. The total number of suicides in Japan rose to 2,153 in October 2020, which is considered the highest monthly count in more than five years. South Korea has even a higher suicide rate than Japan. The percentage increase is way higher among women totaling to 43% than previous year in South Korea and around 41% more than the previous year in Japan (Source: The Washington Post).
Loneliness, stress, losing jobs, overworking too hard has created newer challenges! Pandemic related or not, this challenge is not an easy one to overcome. We need to address this before it is too late!
I can only say,
I can change this world because I am true to myself,
I don’t pretend to be someone else.
I matter because I shoot for the stars,
I don’t confine to any social bars.
I believe in myself,
And that is all I need,
To succeed, and never cede.
People love me for who I am, and what I believe.
I am the greatest, supreme of all time,
I am my constant companion, and I do just fine!
I am my greatest helper,
I love myself for not just who I am, But more so for who I can become.
The love I have for me is the only thing that matters,
I am my biggest fan, I don’t need any flatters.
I am beautiful,
I am strong,
I can change this world because I am a strong!
Stay strong! Never, say never!
