As we ready ourselves to welcome 2021 and take a look back at 2020, the 1967 song “Hello, Goodbye” by The Beatles comes to my mind.
“You say yes, I say no; You say stop and I say go go go…” Yes, we all are geared up to say “yes, goodbye” to 2020, “go go go” to coronavirus and move to the more positive and hopefully less negative 2021. “You say goodbye and I say hello” We open our arms to welcome 2021 with a new ray of hope, to the International Year of Peace and Trust (U.N)
Indeed 2020 has been a challenging year, unlike any that most of us ever experienced. But 2020 taught us few things that probably no text book ever could: the newer meanings of courage and compassion, ignited some new and some old hobbies, made us more creative to think out-of-the-box and most importantly though socially distant, brought us much closer to people who truly matter to us, our friends and family!
As we say good bye today to 2020, let’s not forget these valuable learnings and welcome 2021 with renewed hope and inspiration!
Let us weave in the better of 2020 into our resolutions for it to become the best of 2021.
Happy New Year!
